Signs You Need to Visit a Dentist 😁😁

People are always advised to visit their dentist regularly apart from practicing good oral hygiene and care. It is important to get the teeth professionally examined and cleaned at least once every 6 months to a year. The visits should be more often in case of preexisting dental disease or treatment.

You can visit a dentist earlier if any of the following issues crops up:

  • Tooth ache – You may experience pain in the teeth or mouth for several reasons. It could be due to a cavity, an infection, involuntary teeth grinding, or simply a sensitivity to hot and cold drinks. No matter whether the pain is mild or keeps you awake at night, its best to get a checkup immediately. In fact, even pain in the face or neck can be related to the teeth.
  • Bleeding from the gums – Excessive bleeding or soreness in the gums can be an indication of various diseases and warrant an urgent examination.
  • Swollen gums – There’s something wrong if your gums are red, inflamed, or painful. Ignoring the signs can intensify the problem and affect other internal organs too.
  • Jaw discomfort – Pain in the jaw or difficulty in chewing can be a sign of unintentional clenching or even joint problems.
  • Mouth sores – Persistent and painful sores that do not heal on their own can be due to an oral infection. A dental checkup will reveal the cause and treatment options.
  • Tartar buildup – Hard and rough deposits on the teeth are due to build up of plaque that has turned into tartar or calculus. This needs to be cleaned by a professional as left untreated, it can lead to decay, infection, or even periodontal disease.
  • Damaged or decayed teeth – In case your teeth are stained, misaligned, chipped, broken, or decaying, it is better to visit a dentist rather than trying to hide your smile all the time. Even missing or simply unattractive teeth can be easily corrected by a female dentist. They will suggest the right cosmetic treatment to repair the damage and also gift you a beautiful smile.
  • Other medical conditions – In case you are diagnosed with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, HIV, cancer, or other such diseases, it is advisable to visit a dentist as it can affect your mouth as well. Even pregnancy warrants a dental checkup as the hormonal changes can affect your oral health too.
Ignoring any of the above conditions will only make matters worse. The problem will persist and may even exacerbate thus putting you in for a longer, more painful, and more expensive dental treatment.

Take the Assistance of a Reliable Dental Clinic

Dentistry is a field of medicine which deals with the study, prevention and treatment of various disorders pertaining to the oral cavity. Today, the demand for dentists is experiencing an exponential growth, especially due to the fact that dental disorders have significantly increased over the last few decades. In the USA, several people suffer from dental decay and cavities, which is the result of consuming a vast quantity of health deteriorating fast-foods. Fortunately, there are several well established dental clinics available, which can help to restore the lost shine and shape of your teeth.

Patients who are about to undergo a dental procedure are often apprehensive about the outcome of the surgery or treatment. But in reality, most of the dental procedures are painless or come with minor pain. If you are a female patient who prefers a female dentist to do your dental treatment, then there are several qualified female dentists who are available as well. But, before you proceed, you should learn about the various kinds of treatments:
If your teeth have become discolored, broken or fractured, then composite tooth bonding can help to restore your teeth. This procedure is generally performed in the dentist’s office. Tooth gaps can also be fixed through this procedure.
A dental brace is a device which is intended to correct the alignment of teeth and problems related to bite. By exerting pressure on the teeth it helps to straighten your teeth.
These are the two methods used to replace missing tooth. Bridges are false teeth, anchored beside neighboring teeth. Implants are used to replace the original tooth.
To protect cracked, damaged and broken tooth, crowns are used.
If you are willing to close the gaps between your teeth, then use veneers. These are strong yet thin materials made of resins which are bonded to the teeth.
This treatment as the name says is intended to whiten discolored teeth. Discoloration can be caused by several food and beverages like coffee, tea and even through smoking.
Even though considered to be a painful form of treatment, but in reality it is an extremely painless treatment. It involves removing the infected tissues from the center by opening the tooth. The open space is then filled with sealant materials and sealed.
Oral cancer can originate from any tissue inside your oral cavity. Get yourself regularly checked by your dentist for any lump or discoloration inside your mouth. Early treatment of oral cancer has good prognosis.
Today, there are umpteen numbers of dental clinics available, which deliver exceptional level of services. Smile For Me is one of the dental clinics which has consistently received positive feedback from the clients.

Sealants Safeguard Children’s Teeth

My little son is a disgraceful brusher. It’s a task to get him to clean his teeth everyday and despite all my nagging, he always tends to ignore the back of the mouth. I live in constant fear of cavities and was sure he would need a root canal very soon.

The problem got so much worse that I could actually see the food particles stuck above the teeth most of the time, and the way his mouth smelled at times was simply unbearable.

Finally, I hauled him to my regular female dentist, Dr. Jaber at Smile For Me. The good doctor just smiled at my apprehensions before examining the boy’s teeth. Once she was done, she assured me that all was well as of now. She told me that it was not completely his fault as toothbrushes usually cannot get all the way into the grooves, especially in the back teeth.

As I was still literally wringing my hands, she suggested that she usually uses sealants in the grooves and fissures on the chewing surfaces of the teeth in young children. This plastic material protects the teeth as food or plaque cannot get caught there anymore.

I was glad for the easy solution and we went ahead with the treatment. The female dentist carefully cleaned the teeth before applying a sealant material on the top of the teeth. This was dried with a curing light and the process was complete in no time.

I still insist that he practice proper oral hygiene, but I can rest easy as my son has smooth and easy to clean surfaces on his teeth. I do take him back regularly so that Dr. Jaber can check on the teeth and correct any wear or chipping when needed.

Why Dental Crowns Need A Temporary One First?

Two of my teeth were badly broken in an accident. A few adjoining ones had become weak too. After recovering from the accident, I visited my regular dentist at Smile For Me in Howell. The good Dr. Jaber took a careful look at my teeth and advised me to go for dental crowns.

She explained that the crown would be like a cap that would cover the broken teeth so that they became stronger and looked normal too. I was more or less expecting something like this and she went on to give details about what the treatment involved. We decided to go for porcelain crowns that would match the shade of my regular teeth. She told me that she would take a few x-rays before filing and shaping the teeth to receive the crown.

I was fine with this, but baulked a bit when she said I would get a temporary crown at the first sitting and the permanent one would be fixed a few weeks later. I wasn’t happy with the multiple treatments on my teeth and insisted that she directly cement the final crown when it was ready.

Dr. Jaber patiently explained that the outer portion of the teeth had to be removed to make space for the crown. This would ensure a proper fit and will not affect my bite either. She further elaborated that the prepared teeth are sensitive and can get damaged easily. The temporary fix of acrylic crowns will protect them in the interim. In fact, she said the temporary crowns needed additional care of avoiding hard, sticky or chewy food and careful flossing to avoid dislodging or breakage.

I was satisfied and went ahead with the dental cosmetics treatment. The permanent crowns were ready in two weeks as promised and the results look amazingly natural.

A warm smile is the universal language of being happy, and it is your responsibility to preserve it. Everything is the subject to decay with the time, and so with your teeth too. But thanks to medical advancement, people can fight against the time and maintain the beautiful curves of their face. This technology is called dental implantation.

To get the teeth intact even after aging old, you have to choose professional experts for dental implants. Also, choosing the right dentist for the implantation can be daunting. So, follow these points while you are looking for a special care of your smiling agents.

Ask for their licenses

First thing first; of course, the dentist or the dental clinic that you are going to choose for the dental care must have been a licensed one. Getting license is the silent way to speak about their plausibility. Never choose an expert who is not a licensed one.

Look for their experiences

Also, the experience tells a lot. The more they gather experience, the more they treat well with your teeth. When you are choosing an experienced clinic, chances are all the dentists are experienced. Getting the dental cosmetics from the long-established clinic will provide you the right doctors as they have the urge to maintain their good-will in the market.

Smile For Me is a right place for getting help redrafting your teeth. So, protecting the beautiful curve on the face is your duty. Call them at 732 730 2345.

Dental Crowns Restore Damaged Teeth

Once upon a time, my teeth used to be very badly rotted. In hindsight, it was sheer disregard and laziness that had caused my teeth to become cracked and worn down. Some were badly discolored as well.

Finally when I started facing severe pain, and could not eat or speak properly, I visited a dentist in Howell called Smile For Me (www.smileforme.com). I have to admit that the good Dr. Jaber did not cringe at my unsightly teeth or reprimand me for the lack of oral care.

She patiently examined my mouth and told me that fillings would not work in my case. She suggested I needed dental crowns on the fractured teeth and on some other weak ones to keep them from breaking apart in the future.

I did not know what had hit me and recoiled at the thought of the artificial caps piercing my mouth. She patiently explained that the crowns would be made to match the color, shape, and size of my original teeth. She stressed that they would look natural and I would not feel the difference at all.

The awful pain put paid to my hesitations and I had to go ahead with the dental cosmetics treatment. The dentist took impressions of my teeth before carefully cleaning and shaping my teeth. All my misgivings vanished once the crowns were in place and my teeth actually looked like new!

Slowly I found myself able to talk and chew normally. I do not hide my rotten teeth behind a closed mouth anymore. In fact, Dr. Jaber always says she is dazzled by my lovely smile during my monthly checkups. And I am sticking to my promise of caring for my restored teeth with regular brushing and flossing!
